Wooden Horse Exhibition

A modelled horse head. I made this learning to complement my Blender modelling knowledge with the basest of UV editing and texture painting knowledge. I decided to take one more step into the lighting setup and rendering environment. I made sure to also do some experimentation with the Glass BSDF and Translucent BSDF shaders in Shader Editor.

Just a wireframe view of my scene... cant show in solid mode since the showcase glass blocks off the horse model and x-ray mode isn't quite visible either.

Started playing with UV unwrapping. Made the mistake of smart projecting a shape as this that isn't as simple as the algo can handle.

Did the texture painting... it was fun.

I decided the islands I had weren't as organised and neat as I needed them to be so I just created a new uv map and transferred my baked texture into the new map. That was another hiccup in my learning journey... took a while to achieve the goal.
